Haleiwa Harbor · North Shore, Oahu

The Ho'o Nanea

The only sailing catamaran working the North Shore, custom-built to make big water feel easy.

The Vessel

Two Hulls, One Very Steady Ride

The Ho'o Nanea is a 40-foot sailing catamaran, and the two hulls are the whole point. A catamaran sits flat where a single-hulled boat leans and rolls, which is why so few of our guests ever feel seasick, even on a breezy afternoon off the North Shore.

That steadiness changes what a day on the water actually feels like. You can walk the deck with a drink in your hand, sit in the shade of the boom awning, or lean on the rail watching for a blow on the horizon without holding on to anything.

She is Coast Guard certified for 21 passengers. We cap every tour at 19, which leaves room to move around and means the crew has time for everyone aboard.

Safety first

What You'll Feel Onboard

Life jackets for every guest

We carry life jackets in all sizes and provide them on board. Children are required to wear one, and infants are held at all times by an adult who is wearing one.

There is no age restriction on our tours. The boat is friendly to all ages.

A safety briefing before we sail

Every tour starts with safety instructions from the crew. No sailing or snorkeling experience is needed. The only things you need are a sense of adventure and an appreciation for the ocean.

Built to stay steady

Catamarans are smoother riding than single-hulled vessels, and very few guests get seasick aboard.

If you are prone to seasickness, or have never been on a boat, it is wise to take a preventative at least an hour before the trip.

Where we sail

We operate out of Haleiwa Harbor on the North Shore of Oahu, sailing along the coast and out into deeper water.

We do not circumnavigate Oahu or sail around to the West Side. That would be a very long trip with rough upwind sailing on the way home.
